Sewell, William H.
B.S. Princton; 1950, M.D., Yale University; 1960-1967, Asheville (NC) Veterans Administration Hospital; co-developer with Dr. William L. Glenn in 1949 of the first sucessful coronary pump. Today that pump is recognized as the forerunner of the artificial heart and is on permanent display at the Smithsonian Institution in Washington, D.C.
